I am Till Jedamczik, born in 1986, and I live in Achern-Wagshurst in the Ortenau region of south-west Germany. I have been building web applications and data integrations since 2014 — first as an employee, today with my own company, oerli GmbH. The E-Invoice Plumber is my offer for businesses looking for hands-on support with the e-invoicing mandate.

I studied Media and Information Management at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences with a focus on computer science and business administration. That is still the mix my work is made of: I understand what an invoice has to achieve for a business, and I can tell the machine what to make of it. All so that it costs you as little effort as possible.

Data formats, interfaces and standards that nobody reads for pleasure have been my daily business for years: comparison engines across millions of insurance tariffs, the website of the Black Forest National Park, a messaging system for Swisscom. XRechnung and ZUGFeRD are manageable by comparison — they just do not look it at first glance.

Where I learned it

Four stations that have something to do with your invoice — even if it does not show.

  1. since 2017

    Insurance platform in Switzerland

Platform, CRM and comparison engines for digital insurance advice: several million premium records from the insurers’ interfaces, sensitive personal data every day and the data-protection obligations that come with it.

  2. 2017 – 2021

    Black Forest National Park

Four years continuously responsible for the technology behind the public website: a public-sector client, many editors, requirements agreed directly with the departments.

  3. 2019 – 2020

    Swisscom AG

Backend of the messaging system behind the official network and service status: several hundred thousand requests a day, refactoring, performance and tests in someone else’s codebase.

  4. since 2019

    MoviePosterDB

My own international film platform with around 1.5 terabytes of image data and full-text search across the whole collection — the project where I try new tools first, before they go anywhere near a customer.

Why “plumber”, of all things?

Because that is exactly what the work is like: somewhere a pipe is blocked — a mandatory field is missing, an amount does not add up, the authority rejects the file — and someone has to turn up with tools, take a look and put it right. Without a long lecture on the standard.

The comic plumber with the pipe wrench, though, is only me in the logo. In real life I do like a cap, but I wear glasses rather than dungarees — and my tools are a validator, an editor and an hourly rate that is printed on the price board.

What that means for you

One contact

From the first check to the last corrected invoice you talk to the same person. Nobody has to explain your case a second time.

Errors in plain language

I translate what the validator means — into sentences you can pass on to your bookkeeping and your tax adviser.

Technology, not tax advice

I check and repair files, interfaces and processes. What applies for tax purposes we clarify together with your adviser — happily in a joint appointment.

Let’s get acquainted

The check is free: 15 minutes by video in which we look at your software and your invoices together.
